Mrs Lingard

I studied Theatre Studies and English Literature at university, and then over the next 10 years I moved from Liverpool to Cambridgeshire to Sheffield, working for the police, running my own pre-school businesses, having my 2 children and evantually settling down in Shropshire. I completed my PGCE in 2012 and since then I have taught across all the age groups. Music and drama are my passions, and I believe creativity should be at the heart of education.

Outside of the classroom, I have enjoyed success at The Edinburgh Fringe taking a show up there in the summer of 2024, acted on the RSC stage in Stratford, worked in film production and directed theatre of my own. I am also involved with local choirs and theatre groups, including taking a role in the famous Welshampton Panto.

I am a practitioner of Mantle of the Expert, which is an educational approach which catches the children's imagination and makes learning meaningful and exciting.
