Meet The Teaching Team
Mrs Hidalgo
I am incredibly excited and proud to be the EYFS teacher at Newtown Church of England Primary School working alongside Mr Roberts to teach our youngest children. For me a child’s first experiences of school are the foundation of the rest of their educational journey and therefore of upmost importance and something I take great pride in being a part of.
Working in Early Years for the past eleven years has seen me take on various roles from Preschool Practitioner to Deputy Manager before embarking on my teacher training. I hold a First Class Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Development, a Level Three Forest School Leader qualification, and most recently my Post Graduate Certificate in Education with Qualified Teacher Status. To continue my own development and learning I have begun further training to gain an NPQ in Early Years Leadership.
Outside of school I am a mum to three boys aged 15, 13 and 9. I love to go walking with my family and our sproker spaniel Marley. My boys are involved with football and archery, and I love to spend time watching them play and compete. In my own time I love to read and listen to music.
Mr Roberts
I have been working within Early Years for over 14 years, working with children from babies up to 5 years old. I have also been involved in managing after school clubs for over 10 years. My qualifications include Level 3 in Children's Development and Education, Makaton and Understanding Challenging Behaviours. I am passionate about Forest Schools. I enjoy spending time with my two children. I am also a keen football fan, a dedicated darts player and I love theatre trips!
